Who am I

Emma Riley is an LGBT Royal Navy veteran who took the UK to the European Court of Human Rights to challenge the ban on gay people serving in the Navy and helped changed the UK law in 2000 to allow LGBT people to serve in the military. 

 She was named Hero of the Year at the British Diversity Awards 2024 for her campaigning efforts and uses her story to inspire others to stand up as role models, allies, and to show one person can make a difference.
